Build the rig around your playing.
A poorly organised pedalboard costs you time, introduces failure points and gets in the way of playing. Every decision here — the angle, the routing, the clearance — exists to make your setup faster to build and more reliable on stage.
Pedals you use underfoot go on top, power and always-on units underneath, external connections to the rear panel. Choose Smart Pedal Locking plates to suit your pedals or use conventional fastening. A pack of 14 selected standard plates is included until 31 October 2026; €59 + VAT from 1 November.

The tools you choose become part of how you play. Nebula combines a machined plywood structure with two aluminium panels, assembled and finished in our family workshop in Northern Portugal.

Use the space underneath
The incline creates the most clearance at the rear, tapering towards the front. A low-profile power supply can reach farther forward than a tall pedal.
The Builder checks underside placement using the equipment’s height and mounting thickness, with space reserved for the rear sockets you choose. Measure the actual unit, including knobs and feet, when planning.

Smart Pedal Locking
Mount your pedal once. Move it with its plate. Smart Pedal Locking is designed around removable adhesive strips between pedal and plate, and a mechanical lock into Nebula’s grid. One rear lever releases the assembly, so you can rearrange your rig without detaching the pedal from its plate.

Align and lower
Align the plate with the board grid and press it gently against its supports.
Slide and lock
Slide downhill — a short, positive travel — until the plate seats and the lever locks automatically.
Release and move
Hold the plate down, lift the rear lever and slide uphill. Lift the pedal and plate out together.
How the pedal attachesRemovable adhesive · accessible pull-tabs
The intended attachment uses adhesive strips that release when stretched. Place them between the pedal base and plate, with their removal tabs accessible at a plate edge. Keep the rear lever and the path for pulling each tab clear.
To rearrange your rig, release the plate from Nebula and move the pedal and plate together. To detach the pedal itself, first take the assembly off the board. Support both parts and slowly pull each tab along the plate surface, following the strip maker’s instructions.

Dimensions describe the pedal fit. The latest plates are 4 mm wider and 16 mm deeper, with room for the release paddle beyond the pedal footprint. Allow for cables and finger access. The image shows the seven standard formats from above, at the same scale.

Bring your connections to the back
Nine chassis connector cutouts and a separate IEC opening provide positions for the connections your rig needs. Choose which openings to use; the cutouts do not mean connectors or wiring are included.
Audio, USB or Ethernet: choose connections with a matching mounting pattern, then allow for their hardware and wiring underneath. The Builder lets you switch each position on or off and plan around that space.

How does the introductory plate offer work?
Enquiries received by 31 October 2026 (Portugal time) qualify for 14 selected standard plates at no extra cost with each Nebula. We hold the introductory price for 14 days from our written quote. Choose any mix of the seven standard sizes, including repeats. From 1 November, Nebula with its gig bag remains €429 + VAT; the optional 14-plate pack is €59 + VAT, making €488 + VAT together. Quad Cortex plates and other extras are quoted separately.
Do I need the plates?
You can use conventional fastening if you prefer. Smart Pedal Locking plates let you move each pedal and its mounting together. Choose 14 standard plates at no extra cost until 31 October 2026, or add the optional pack for €59 + VAT afterwards. Extra plates and the Quad Cortex plate can be ordered at additional cost.
Can I put a pedal underneath?
It depends on its total installed height and position. Clearance reduces towards the front. Enter height and mounting thickness in the Builder, enable the rear sockets you intend to use, and check the physical setup before fixing it.
Does the Builder guarantee a fit?
It checks a simplified plan and height envelope. Pedal dimensions can be estimates, and cable bends, switches, plate fixings and other three-dimensional details need a final check with your actual equipment.
How do I order?
